Originally from Pune, India Manjiri has lived in El Dorado Hills for several years. Before coming to the United States, she studied at the prestigious Abhinav Kala Vidyalaya University receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree. While at the university, she held exhibitions with the Bombay Art Society.
As a skilled abstract artist, Manjiri has painted in oil and acrylic. Some of her earlier works were Indian miniatures. Ceramic art was also of great interest to her.
Manjiri's current medium of expression is Collage Art. She loves the contrasting, complimentary colors and textures that collage evokes. She is inspired by light and emotion. Manjiri's collages are a blend of Indian and American styles. Her work is influenced by bold vibrant colors and materials which she melds with non-representational art. Her collage art appeals to lovers of nature and those seeking visions of peace and harmony
